OFE Community Meeting 2022

30 September 2022

Details

Date
September 30
Time
13:00 - 16:00 CEST

OFE is delighted to invite you to the OFE Community Meeting 2022 on 30 September from 13:00 to 16:00 CEST.

As we have done now for many years with the start of autumn, we will provide an open space to discuss several issues in digital policy brought by new and old members of the OFE Open Source Policy Community. This is a great time to gather in order to address and engage in recent developments and insights revolving around open technologies in the European Union and beyond. Open Source secured a solid place on the agenda of the EU decision makers, which makes further debates between and within political and technical domains crucial now more than ever.

The focus will be on flashtalks for all the community participants, and we encourage you to bring your ideas and thoughts on EU Open Source policy matters such as OSPOs, interoperability, digital autonomy, AI, cybersecurity, open hardware, eGovernment, open science and many others.

This event will be virtual and Chatham House Rule will apply.

Call for Proposals

As we did for the OFE Community Meeting last year, we officially open a structured Call for Proposal (CfP) for the 2022 edition as well. Every speaker selected will have an 8-minute slot at their disposal for the flashtalk, along with additional time for a short Q&A.

The deadline for the CfP is 4 September at 23:59 CEST.

We ask you to abide by our OFE Community Participation Guidelines before and during the event. This event is not the place to engage in sales activities, or to debate the virtues of individual products and services—it is a forum meant to bring openness forward through policy discussions.

This event will be virtual and Chatham House Rule will apply.
